About Mrs. Melworm: As the Library Media Specialist at Nettingham Middle School, I hope to inspire readers and empower students to become confident, independent learners. I enjoy helping students discover new books, explore technology, and think critically about the world. 

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts (magna cum laude, Villanova University, 2002), a Master of Arts in Teaching (Fairleigh Dickinson University, 2018), and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology with a Concentration in School Library Media Specialist (New Jersey City University, 2024). 

After beginning my education career in a parochial school as a middle school science teacher, I moved to a public school setting as an elementary classroom teacher in 2007. I taught 5th grade at Terrill Middle School for three years before transitioning to Brunner Elementary School to teach 4th grade. In 2022, the New Jersey Department of Education honored me as a New Jersey Exemplary Educator. In September 2023, I became the Library Media Specialist at Nettingham Middle School. 

Outside of school, I coach a high school varsity gymnastics team. I enjoy reading, cuddling with my cat Cooper, doing crafts, and all things Disney.
