Preschool registration for The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public schools is now open for applications for the 2026-2027 school year.
Preschool Registration
The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public Schools is accepting online preschool applications for the 2026-2027 school year.
Your child’s age as of October 1, 2026 will determine placement in a 3-year-old or 4-year-old class.
All preschool classes will be held at LaGrande Elementary School located at 330 South Ave. in Fanwood.

Kindergarten and Grade 1 Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 school year!
Kindergarten Registration
All children who are residents of Scotch Plains or Fanwood and will be 5 years old on or before October 1, 2026, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten.
First Grade Registration
All children who are residents of Scotch Plains or Fanwood and will be 6 years old on or before October 1, 2026, are eligible to enroll in first grade. Please register your child if they have not yet attended the SPF school district.

- Hold a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
- Show evidence of successful experience in working with children.
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
